I have installed the BlogFollow plugin, so now when you leave a comment with a valid URL, a snippet of your latest blog post will appear under your comment! What a great way for all of us to get to know each other better!
I have so much on my mind I hardly know where to start. My weight loss has slowed, but I blame the fact that I’ve been cheating. I do this every time I lose weight on any diet, once I see even a little bit of success, I sabotage my own efforts. I blame it on lots of personal issues wrapped up with my being fat, and being afraid to change, afraid to fail, afraid to succeed.
At least I’ve recognized that I’m doing it, and can stop it and get back on track. I got a new cookbook, “The Good Carb Cookbook” by Sandra Woodruff, and it has way more recipes than The G.I. Diet, most of which are things I will actually make. I know I need to stop cheating with bites of donuts and french fries, and just buckle down. I want to lose this weight more than anything else in the world right now.
If you like MomCooks, I would love if you would subscribe to the feed, add it to your blogroll, or fave it in Technorati. It could use some love and support! If you aren’t already in my blogroll, let me know so I can add you!

Is that plugin a new one? I’ve never heard of it. Sounds cool!

I can’t get it to work on Table for Five though, and I can’t figure out why, either.
I’ve enjoyed visiting your blog so I decided to write about it today: About Town: Mom Cooks.
I know weight loss can be tough, beleive me, I have to keep it up so that my health gets better, and it is tough not to cheat. Hang in there.
The best advice I’ve heard for losing weight is to keep busy! Ever been blogging/working so hard that you forget to eat?
Cool plugin :)
Anyway weight loss is not easy and if you have the liberty to do it without any timeframe then enjoy the process. DOn’t push yourself too hard.
Don’t worry, we are all our own worst enemies. Just remember that even when you do cheat and fall back a little bit, it’s not the end of the world. Just get yourself back on track and you’ll be just fine ;)
What a great idea.
Linda, I really appreciate it, thank you! I’m glad you like the blog :)
Drew- I pretty much blew it completely over 4th of July weekend. I ate burgers on buns, chips and dip, cookies…I was WEAK. But now I am DETERMINED! I bought a new pair of pants yesterday and they were a whole size smaller than what I wore last month! So YAY me! I hope you’ll try some of the recipes I post here :)
Andy- I used to skip lunch entirely during the day when I was working on my sites, but when I started eating some protein and something high-fiber in the afternoon, I started losing weight! Skipping lunch was slowing my metabolism down.
Cherry- Thanks for your support! I think the hardest thing for me is being patient. I don’t WANT to lose a pound or two a week, I want to lose FIVE pounds a week! Which I know isn’t realistic or even possible in a safe way, but I’m so impatient!!!
Green Fairy- Unlike my previous attempts at weight loss, this time I know that it’s a lifestyle change forever. So it’s easier to keep going ahead even when I slip up. Thanks so much for the support!
Okay, that is definitely a different one! Very interesting to see it live and running too, cool.
Ugh, weight loss. I so need to lose many pounds and I’m not doing a very good job either.
Can’t wait to try the Cola Chicken, sounds like something I’d love. Just found your site thru Mississippi Songbird…smashing!

Very interesting site. Are you interested in my encounters notebook Wanna very nice joke?)) The dreaded Amish flu: First you get a little hoarse. Then you get a little buggy.
