I just found the COOLEST website!

By Elizabeth | September 22, 2007

I stumbled upon Group Recipes, and it’s Social Networking for cooks! Check out my widget:

And yes, I really did look at a recipe for Deep Fried Watermelon and no, I don’t plan on making it anytime soon :)  This is one of those websites that makes me wonder why I didn’t think of it first! You create an account, and then you take a “taste test”, where you get two pages of food ingredients and cuisine, and you rate each one on a scale of hate to love. A “robot” in the website uses that information to compile recipes that it think you will like. You can search the recipes by keyword, ingredient, or flavor (I assume that means “spicy”, “sweet”, etc.)  Photos of your food are encouraged, as well as photos of you or your family members eating, babies with food on their faces-boy have I got some photos to upload like that!

Can you tell I’m really excited about finding this site?!? I’m going to post my Cola Chicken recipe and the Herbed Turkey Pasta Salad, and I’ve got a great photo of Kaitlyn with pureed peas and green beans on her face that will look great on my profile page. Come check out Group Recipes, let me know what you think!

That is such a cool site! I am having a Halloween themed birthday party for my son this year, and found an interesting idea for the punch. Brown with floating eyeballs…12 year olds will LOVE that!

    Hi Tom,
Thanks, I added you as a friend on Group Recipes. I just started a full-time job so my internet time is greatly reduced, but I hope to have a chance to check out the recipes you have. Great to “meet” you!
