Things are looking pretty good for MomCooks these days. I’ve been accepted into the BlogHer Ad Network, you will see the ads running at the top of the right column. The “More from BlogHer” will have links to other cooking blogs in the network, so please feel free to click any of them, I’m sure they would love to have you visit.
Because I needed to have the ads above the fold, I switched to a new theme called “In the Kitchen”, created by the uber-talented Tina Silva. Tina is a twenty something college student who still has time to write for PayPerPost and create new WordPress themes. Ahh, to have that youthful energy again :) Anyway, I hope you like it. I know the blog title and tagline are hard to read, I’ll work on finding a different color that makes the letters stand out more.
In other big news, you may recall that I was asked to join PreciousMoms.com, the blog of the Precious Moments website, as their “Real World” cooking Mom. What an honor! The site goes live on Monday, so I hope you will check over there as well. I never would have imagined, when I started blogging, that I would have not one, but TWO cooking blogs!
I also has shocked and pleasantly surprised to see that in the recent Google Page Rank update, this little baby blog went from a Page Rank of Zero to PR2! I never imagined it, ever. But it makes me feel like I might actually be on to something here, so I want to thank all of you who put me in your blogrolls, linked to me in a post, faved me on Technorati, or subscribed to my feed. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I can’t wait to see where MomCooks is a year from now-it’s exciting to think of the possibilities!

Better hold on to that excitement because I show you as a PR3. I think they are still screwing around with it all.
So how does BlogHer work? I have been thinking about opening a couple new blogs and am trying to figure out how to monetize them.
Lisa-Everything you need to know about joining BlogHer ads is right here! http://www.blogherads.com/ But the blogs have to be 90 days old, too. More blogs? Sounds interesting! I want to hear all about them when I get back from Memphis :)
