Menu Monday

My husband is gone for two weeks on business. Which means I have a chance to do something I don’t get to do very often-cook all the foods that the boys and I like that he doesn’t! See, my husband is kind of a picky eater, so I seldom make things for dinner that I know he doesn’t care for. When I do, like when I make Cola Chicken (which we love and he just sort of thinks is okay, which, huh? It’s delicious!), I tell him ahead of time and he plans to get himself something to eat on the way home from work.

So here is this week’s dinner plan, based on what is in the cupboards, and what the boys and I like to eat:

Monday: Cola Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, steamed Peas

Tuesday: Chicken Potpies (I buy the frozen ones from Aldi), tossed salad, cookies

Wednesday: Sloppy Joes (made with Manwich), baked french fries, green beans

Thursday: Spaghetti, garlic bread, corn

Friday: Pizza night

Saturday: Lunch-Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup, and I’d like to make some kind of fun bar cookie or similar treat with the kids. Dinner-Ham/Broccoli casserole, crescent rolls

Sunday: Leftovers
