Menu Plan Monday and new blog header!
By Elizabeth | March 17, 2008
Check out the header graphic I made in Photoshop and Photobucket-do you like it? I’m not sure I’m keeping it, I won a $40 credit towards a design in the Ultimate Blog Party, so I will probably have them do something more cooking related. But it’s fun to look at!
And now, it’s time to plan this week’s menu. I have a crazy blogging schedule this week, so I need easy meals I can make quickly. Plus, I have a ton of Ronzoni pasta (thanks to getting a big shipment for a review!), so there definitely needs to be pasta in the menu. Here’s what I have so far:
Monday: Really Easy Shepherd’s Pie, Double-Quick Dinner Rolls
Tuesday: Spaghetti with Italian Sausage Spaghetti Sauce, Garlic bread, corn
Wednesday: Garlic Chicken Fried Chicken, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, brown gravy, steamed peas
Thursday: Rotini with leftover spaghetti sauce, italian bread, mixed green salad
Friday: Pizza Night
Saturday: All-American hamburgers, baked fries, corn
Sunday: Easter! Ham, scalloped potatoes, steamed green beans, dinner rolls. Not sure about dessert yet, we all like different things. Possibly a Sara Lee cheesecake.

I’d completely forgotten about easter until I read this post! We’re going over to the in-law’s, but I will probably make some green bean casserole to try and trick my better half into actually eating some vegetables. (He really needs it. Before he met me, he actually got gout. At 16. I’m serious.)
All that stuff sounds delicious. I can’t wait until tomorrow’s dinner of fettucini alfredo.

How about some Monkey Bread for Easter breakfast?

The header’s cute, but I’m thinking something more cooking-related would be good.
I think I need to try that really easy Shepherd’s Pie. It sounds good.

Anna-I know, it’s not cooking related, but it did teach me not to be afraid of Photoshop!
I made that Shepherd’s Pie and I’ll tell you what, I have never had my family react so positively to something that is SO EASY to make!
