Menu Monday-June 23 2008

You know what really helps? Knowing what your menu will be BEFORE 5:00 pm on Monday! I just seem to get less and less organized every week. It’s a good thing that Target sells frozen food now, because while I was there today buying toilet paper and Pull-Ups, I picked up tonight’s dinner. I have a pretty good idea what I’m making the rest of the week, too, I just have to shop for it.

Monday: Mrs. Paul’s Beer Battered Fish Fillets, Broccoli in Cheese Sauce, Roasted Garlic Instant Mashed Potatoes-okay, not the healthiest, but quick and will fill everyone up

Tuesday: Crockpot Macaroni and Beef,

Wednesday: Fuss-Free Ravioli and Cheese bake, recommended by Laura, garlic bread, corn

Thursday: All-American Burgers, oven-baked steak fries, steamed green peas

Friday: Takeout Pizza night, salad and breadsticks

Saturday: Tacos, burritos, Just like Taco Bell Mexican Pizza from “Fast Food Fix”, chips, salsa, guacamole

Visit I’m an Organizing Junkie to see the other 225 people who have posted links to their week of menus! Wow!

  • Hope you like the ravioli dish as much as we did! I love your header, so fun!!

Your menu plan is making me very hungry. I’m going to have to try some of these things very soon. I feel guilty making a meal where the major spice component is salad dressing, but that ravioli dish sounds awfully good…

  • I just wanted to say I like your menu planing. We recently decided to try menu planing. Some weeks it works out great, others not as well. In the summer it all depends on the weather. When its hot and humid, we tend not to use the oven as much. I hate when the weather people say its going to be cooler, then we get slammed with the heat and humidity. We are now thinking about perhaps coming up with 2 different menu plans.

  • Sounds like you have a good menu plan! I try to plan ahead but not for the whole week. My boyfriend works all of the time — so most nights he works pretty late. It’s easier for him to just grab something VS me cooking a bunch of food that no one is home to eat! When he does get home at a decent hour, we do cook at home as much as we can! : ]

  • Thanks about this for this reason it is so important for me. Thanks again :)
