A Note to my MomCooks Readers

Dear much-appreciated readers of MomCooks:

First, I want to apologize to you for how the content just, well, stopped. My last post here was, wait, that can’t be right, was it really…July 18th? Oh, that is just bad. Bad, bad blogger. I wasn’t even home when that post published, I had written it a few days earlier and set it to future publish, because I was in San Francisco starting the morning of the 17th. Then I came home from BlogHer, spent a week recovering, and then went to Cincinnati for two more days. I think my body might actually be in shock from NOT being on an airplane.

But since yesterday, I’ve been thinking long and hard about this blog, about what I want it to be, about what I want it’s contribution to the Blogosphere to be, about what I want it to give to you, the readers, because if no one reads a blog, there’s no point in having one in my opinion.

And what I have come up with is this-the first and most significant change I’m going to make is to change the tagline. “Recipes That Rock” is fun and all, but it limits the content to recipes. I want to post food reviews, food news, reviews of other food sites, so I need a tagline that reflects all of that.

Does anyone have a suggestion? Because my brain is sort of empty of creativity at the moment.

For now, I’m going to take the next four days to post reviews of food products that I have received for product reviews. And then starting next Monday, I’ll have a regular schedule for you:

Mondays: Menu Monday
Tuesdays: Helpful Hint-a food cooking tip
Wednesdays: A Wordless Wednesday food photo OR food news
Thursdays: A food product review OR another Helpful Hint
Fridays: Four Foods on Friday Meme

Of course, if a sponsor wants me to do a giveaway or I eat something amazing at a restaurant and just have to tell you about it, I’ll add an extra post as needed.

So thank you, those of you who continue to stay subscribed to the RSS feed for this blog, thank you for not abandoning me. I hope you enjoy what’s to come here on MomCooks!
