Are you having a halloween party this year? Celebrations.com has got some great ideas for making any kind of halloween party special, from a party at home for the kids to a party in a bar for adults! They had some ideas I hadn’t thought of, like getting inexpensive pumpkin-shaped picture frames from Oriental Trading Co. and inviting the neighborhood kids over to paint one. You can snap a photo of them in their costume, get the photos printed out, then present them with their own halloween keepsake!
For a fun party at home that won’t be too frightening for the little ones, stick to decorations that use mini bales of hay, small pumpkins, and great treats like a pumpkin cake made by baking two bundt cakes. Turn one upside down, frost the top, then stick the second one on top, and frost both cakes orange. Use fondant which is a “clay” made of sugar to shape features for the pumpkin’s face as well as leaves. You can see the cake on the Celebrations.com site under Halloween Party Ideas-Pumpkin Patch Kid’s Halloween.
Celebrations.com also has ideas for Halloween party games, songs, decorations, costumes, and even the history of Halloween. It’s a great resource for anyone looking for tips on throwing a great halloween party!

What a cute idea for a pumpkin cake!
We are already getting excited for Halloween! We cleaned up our yard this weekend to get ready for the halloween decorations! I am a big fan of oriental trading co – it gives me all kinds of ideas for things i unfortunately usually don’t have time for!
