A P.R. firm representing Pillsbury sent me an awesome box of goodies for review, including a bag of the new frozen Grands! Cinnamon Rolls, which contains six rolls already shaped and ready to bake, with packets of icing. And the new frozen Grands! Mini Cinnamon Rolls, which contains twelve mini rolls ready to bake with packets of icing. Boy, they sure had to twist my arm to get me to try THIS product I’ll tell you ;)

I made the Grands! regular size Cinnamon Rolls for a surprise after-school snack for my boys. It couldn’t be easier-just take the number of rolls you need out of the bag, then close it back up and put it back in the freezer. I put four on a baking sheet lined with a piece of aluminum foil:

I baked them according to the directions on the bag, then covered them with the icing that is included. One packet covers two rolls quite generously as you can see from this photo:

Yum, right? The Grands! Mini Cinnamon Rolls are each about half the size of the regular ones, which for us meant that the day we sampled them, we just each ate twice as many :) To give perspective, here’s a photo showing eight of the Grands! Minis, you can see they take up as much room on the plate as four of the regular size ones did.

What I like best about the frozen version of Grands! Cinnamon Rolls is that I can make just one, or two, and I haven’t opened a can of dough that all has to be baked right away. It forces me to think about how many I really want to eat and doesn’t leave extras sitting on the kitchen counter tempting me to come eat them. These would be great to keep on hand for unexpected company too, if you can resist the urge to just bake them all and cram them into your mouth as fast as you can. Not that I would ever do that, of course ;)
