Four Foods on Friday 67- The Chips Edition

I’ve got a “sick” kid at home today, I am one of those total pushover Moms that if they sit there  looking all pathetic in the morning, I say “aww, why don’t you stay home today?”. Teachers love me.  Here are this week’s FFoF questions!

#1. Potato chips. Flavored? Regular, ridged or stacked? I LOVE CHIPS. I love plain Lay’s tucked into a ham and cheese sandwich, I love Ruffles with sour cream dip, I love Pringles, I love Munchos.  My favorite flavors are Pringles Sour Cream & Onion, and Ruffles Cheddar Cheese & Sour Cream.

#2. Cheese doodles. Yellow or white? Puffed or crunchy? I don’t care for the new “natural” cheese puffs. I like regular Cheetos, the orange ones that are all bumpy, and I also like regular orange cheese puffs. You know what else is good? Have you ever had Cheetos Puffed Balls, the little round ones that come in a can? Totally addictive.
#3. Pretzels? Your favorite shape? Favorite flavor? I like Rold Gold mini twists, dipped in ranch dressing :)  When we go on road trips, Chris always buys pretzel Combos with cheddar cheese filling, that’s the only time I eat those.
#4. Share a recipe for salsa or dip. I’ve never made homemade salsa. My current favorite is Dei Fratelli Fire Roasted Tomato, omg so good.  The only homemade dip I make is the Hidden Valley Ranch Dip that comes in the packet that you mix with sour cream. So good with Ruffles!

  • The puffed balls in the can are the best. I haven’t seen those in the store forever.

  • This post made me surely hungry. :) I loooove Ruffles Cheddar and Sour Cream. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. I also love Cheetos Puffs!

Do you know that there’s way to make homebaked potato chips? I read in a site that you just microwave chips on a very high setting for 3 minutes, flip it to the other side and microwave it at a medium setting. Do it until the chips turn crispy. I haven’t tried it yet but it is probably a healthier alternative to chips.

  • I’m not sure if you like them, but I found here pretzels covered with white chocolate, and let me tell you that as soon as you open the bag and you smell the chocolate, you can’t avoid a watering mouth. Delicious.
