Throughout October, Caribou Coffee is celebrating the memory of one of their most passionate roastmasters, Amy Erickson, who lost her battle with breast cancer in 1995.  The company will donate 10% of all sales of Amy’s Blend regular and Amy’s Blend Natural Decaf Coffee, new Amy’s Blend Spiced Rooibos Tea, as well as other branded merchandise to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, with the goal of raising $200,000.

Amy’s Blend coffee is inspired by some of Amy’s favorite coffee beans from East Africa, including Kenya and Ethiopia.  These regions are known for coffee beans with bright flavors. The new Amy’s Blend tea is a vibrant caffeine-free red tea from South Africa blended with just the right amount of spicy cardamom and warm cinnamon. It’s all natural and high in antioxidants.

Merchandise being sold this month at Caribou Coffee to support breast cancer research includes coffee, tea, and travel mugs, stainless steel water bottles, pens, notebooks, and reusable totes.

I’d like to thank Caribou Coffee for sending me two bags of Amy’s Blend coffee, a canister of Amy’s Blend tea, and a beautiful 15 ounce ceramic coffee mug as products for review.  The cup is almost too pretty to use!  And although I’m not a tea drinker, I’m thinking that on a bone-chilling winter evening, a mug of tea flavored with cardamom and cinnamon might just hit the spot :)
