Four Foods on Friday 95

Posted on November 20, 2009 by Elizabeth

These are actually last week’s Four Foods on Friday questions but I missed doing the posting, so I’m playing catch-up today :)

1. Chicken soup. Regular or creamy?
2. Do you have a stew recipe?
3. What’s your favorite hot comfort food?
4. Do you like chicken fried steak?

And here are my answers!

1. Regular, with as many noodles as possible.
2. No, I’ve never made stew!
3. Either a bowl of spaghetti with meat sauce or a bowl of mashed potatoes with gravy
4. No, but I like chicken fried CHICKEN! lol

How would you answer these questions? Leave a comment!

Never made a stew before?? Seriously? You are missing out big time, it is one of my favourite meals especially when winter sets in, nothing beats coming home to a warm stew ready to eat.

  4. Creamy and chunky made from chicken stock and roughly chopped veg.

Seared beef, beef stockpot, black pepper, various vegetables and a long cooking in the pot about three hours or so. No salt.

Carmelised steak that has a beef stock rub and is fried in good quality olive oil in a really hot pan. Hungry just thinking about it. No salt.

Chicken is chicken and beef is beef, a truism but the two don’t mix. Sounds like a disaster!
