Phyllis Pellman Good’s original Fix-It and Forget-It Cookbook has sold 5 million copies, and now it’s been updated to be even more indispensable for home cooks! I picked up a very-well-used copy at a garage sale a few years back, so I was thrilled to be offered a brand new copy for this review. If you already own a copy of the book, here’s what’s new in the updated version:
- Brand New: 100 new recipes for slow cookers.
- Brand New: “Prep Time,” “Cooking Time,” and “Ideal Slow-Cooker Size” are included for each recipe.
- 4 pages of basic and very helpful “Extra Information”:“Substitute Ingredients for When You’re in a Pinch”, “Equivalent Measurements”, “Kitchen Tools and Equipment You May Have Overlooked”, “Assumptions about Ingredients in Fix-It and Forget-It Cookbook, Revised and Updated”.
- Personal comments from Good throughout the book
- And many more!
Here’s a recipe from the book you’re sure to enjoy!
